We’re thrilled to share the success of the 2nd edition of the Southwest and Cigniti QA Day event held on March 7th, 2024.
This half-day event, hosted at the Southwest Airlines office, featured leaders from Southwest such as Lauren Woods (SVP & CIO, Southwest), Tom Merritt (CTO, Southwest), Justin Bundick (MD of Data Science, Automation & AI, Southwest), Sean Lynch (MD of Enterprise Architecture, Southwest), along with Cigniti’s CEO Srikanth Chakkilam, CRO Vinay Rawat, and other senior leaders, who shared invaluable insights.
Under the theme ‘Scaling Airline Resilience with Digital Quality & AI Efficiency,’ the event brought together 15 expert speakers and attracted over 100 attendees, including senior IT leaders and executives from Southwest. The discussions were intellectually stimulating, offering profound insights into the topic.
The event also included an engaging fireside chat moderated by Sumithran Danabalan (SVP of Consulting, Cigniti) with industry experts and senior leaders from Southwest, Cigniti, and HFS Research (A Leading Analyst Firm). Finally, our CRO, Vinay Rawat, concluded the event on a high note, sharing insights on our successful partnership and journey ahead.
The event reinforced our existing partnership and served as a strategic customer and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) initiative. It demonstrated our commitment to deepening relationships, understanding customer needs, and fostering connections with executive IT leadership in the Digital Engineering space.

Welcoming the new year with boundless enthusiasm, we have inaugurated our new Offshore Delivery Center (ODC) at the International Tech Park, Hyderabad.
Inaugurated by our Chairman, Mr. C V Subramanyam Chakkilam, and our CEO, Srikanth Chakkilam, this state-of-the-art facility spans 40,000 sq. ft. It accommodates 400 talented professionals, contributing to our existing 200,000 sq. ft of innovation space.
With two progressive training centers promoting continuous learning and innovation, the ODC marks a milestone in our commitment to AI-led excellence. In the near future, Cigniti plans to add a digital experience center in the newly inaugurated facility.
Reflecting on this momentous occasion, our CEO, Srikanth Chakkilam, said, “As we step into a new year, the inauguration of our ODC symbolizes the beginning of a chapter filled with possibilities and opportunities.”
Cigniti proudly welcomes Wade Jones, a visionary in digital transformation, to our Advisory Council. Wade’s extensive experience, especially in the travel industry, will complement our capabilities and contribute significantly to our strategic growth.

As part of our ProjectCignificance CSR initiative, we celebrated Women’s Day at Zilla Parishad High School (Girls), where we welcomed Smt. C. Sirisha Raghavendra (Superintendent of Police, Intelligence, TS, Hyderabad), as our esteemed chief guest. Her insightful session on women’s safety and cyber safety left a lasting impact on the 130 girls and 15 women teachers present.
We also distributed health and hygienic kits to all the girls, emphasizing the importance of holistic well-being. As a special highlight, a comic book on menstrual hygiene was unveiled to educate and empower young girls on essential health matters.
As a part of the Project Cignificance CSR initiative, Cigniti proudly stands in solidarity with the Government MNJ Institute of Oncology & Regional Cancer Centre in Hyderabad, India. Our recent contribution includes the donation of bedsheets, stretchers, and other essential equipment to the hospital to enhance holistic patient care.
This effort complements our previous support, which involved providing crucial medical equipment, establishing a special facility, and donating an electric buggy.

The event featured esteemed external panelists from the industry, including Rekha Narendra, Hema M Srinivas, Ramchander Maddela, and Geeta G., underscoring our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Moderated by Veera Reddy, our Senior Vice President and Global Head of HR, the session eloquently highlighted the importance of integrating DEIB culture into the organizational fabric for fostering an inclusive work environment.
The panelists shared insightful perspectives, experiences, and strategies for promoting DEIB within organizations. They emphasized the “mind shift change” necessary at the top layer of every organization and stressed that “authentic change is reflected in the small steps each employee takes toward their goals.”
Another notable insight from the panelists was that “Diversity transcends genders” and “DEIB is not solely about personal actions but about contributing to and uplifting the community.” They also highlighted the importance of policy-making as part of the DEIB charter, stating, “It is everyone’s job to make sure that the guidelines are relevant to the cultural context of that region and not limit it to the global agenda.”
Recognizing the importance of women’s health and wellness, Cigniti has taken a proactive step by providing free health coupons to our female employees in collaboration with Oasis Fertility Center. This initiative not only underscores our commitment to employee welfare but also empowers women to prioritize their health.
In a bid to prioritize the health and well-being of our employees, on a General Health Camp was organized within our office premises. This initiative aimed to offer basic healthcare services and remind our employees of the importance of their well-being.
Services like Body Mass Index checks, Blood Pressure monitoring, Random Blood Sugar tests, ECG, and Physician Consultation were provided. The Health Camp witnessed participation from employees across all departments, with more than 130 associates benefitting from the camp. Through such health-focused initiatives, we strive to cultivate a healthier, happier, and more productive workforce.
Our MARGADARSHAKs, a dedicated team of volunteers trained to provide support on issues like sexual/domestic/online abuse, play a crucial role in empowering our employees. They guide women employees through seeking basic police and legal support when needed, ensuring confidentiality and offering emotional support in a nurturing environment. From explaining reporting procedures to facilitating consultations with authorities and providing information on support services, MARGADARSHAKs stand as pillars of support within our organization.
