Cigniti Celebrates International Women's Day
Cigniti hosted a week-long series of events to celebrate International Women’s Day, which included exciting and fun activities like fireless cooking, musical chairs, singing, dancing, yoga and many more. The event began with an inspiring speech from our Chairman & MD, C V Subramanyam, who shared his vision for creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace. Dr Ashwin Giridhar, a Urooncologist from Care Hospital, shared valuable tips on women’s health as a special guest. The event also featured a thought-provoking session on “Rewire Your Brain” by Dr. Jayanthi Reddy and a fireside chat with some of Cigniti’s women leaders for its employees by Swapna Vittal, AVP – Human Resources, Sirisha Kommireddy, AVP – Talent Development and Mohana Balla, Director – Human Resources. The enthusiasm and participation of all the women employees made the event a huge success, and the company looks forward to continuing this tradition in the future.

Urmila Markili, SVP – Corporate Services at Cigniti, spoke at a panel discussion ‘Empowering Women in the Workplace, Marketplace, and Community’ held by CapitaLand on March 1st, where Cigniti’s Hyderabad office is situated. The discussion’s theme was aligned with the official theme of International Women’s Day, ‘Embrace Equity.’

On March 9th, 2023, Cigniti successfully conducted the second edition of the “Women in Technology roundtable” with the topic “DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality”. Launch of herDIGITALstory
On March 17, Cigniti launched the first edition of herDIGITALstory (hDs) – a vibrant community of practice where women who share a passion for emerging technologies can come together to learn, grow, and connect.
The first edition of herDIGITALstory featured engaging presentations on Large Language Models use cases and architecture, delivered by industry leaders Dr. Neha Baranwal and Abhilasha Sinha. Rama Devi Lanka, Director of Emerging Technologies, Government of Telangana, graced the event as chief guest and inaugurated the series. The session was moderated by the esteemed Sirisha Peyyeti, SVP & Head of solutions – DES at Cigniti.

In an interview with Economic Times, our CEO, Srikanth Chakkilam, discusses Cigniti’s major business sectors and the crucial elements that contributed to the profitable growth in Q3. Srikanth says, “We have been able to renew almost all contracts, which were up for renewals, and we will see the same thing for this quarter. Our largest business segment is BFSI, followed by retail, travel, and hospitality and these segments continue to be fairly resilient so far”

Dr. Srinivas Kandula Joins Cigniti Technologies as Executive Director on Board
Cigniti is delighted to welcome Dr. Srinivas Kandula as its Executive Director on board. Dr. Kandula brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous role as ex-Chairman and CEO of Capgemini India, where he was responsible for leading the company’s operations across India and prior to that was Head of HR at IGATE.
In his new role, Dr. Kandula will work closely with Cigniti’s Chairman and MD, C V Subramanyan, to provide strategic direction and inputs across all functions to help Cigniti in its vision, “Together, we build a better future through technology-led transformation”.

Q3 FY23 Financial Results
Cigniti Technologies announced outstanding overall performance for Q3 FY23.
Commenting on the results, Mr. C V Subramanyam, Chairman & MD, said, “We have sustained our growth momentum and delivered a robust performance in the quarter in spite of the challenging business environment. Cigniti’s Chairman and MD, C V Subramanyan, attended the Nasscom Technology and Leadership Forum 2023 along with Cigniti’s leadership team, Sairam Vedam, CMO, Rahul Basarkar, AVP – Marketing, and Midhun Pingili, Sr. Director – Marketing.
NTLF 2023 carries forward the theme “Shaping the Techade”, which aimed to usher in the next wave of technology to create a better future. A strategic three-day Sales Meet was conducted from Jan 11 to 13 in Dallas, where our leadership team discussed the financial outcomes for FY23 and establish the roadmap for FY24. 30th Annual HYSEA Summit & Awards 2023
The Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) held its 30th Annual Summit & Awards 2023 on February 8th, featuring a conference, product expo, and industry awards. The theme of the conference was “Re-Imagine, Re-Think, and Re-Build the Future.”
The Hon’ble Minister for IT, Govt of Telangana, K. T. Rama Rao, was the Chief Guest, while other notable guests included Sri. Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Principal Secretary, ITE&C Dept., Arvind Kumar, Director General, STPI, Debashis Chatterjee, MD & CEO, LTIMindtree, BVR Mohan Reddy, Founder Chairman, CYIENT, G. V. During the event, Kiran Kuchimanchi, President of Cigniti Digital Engineering Services, was the keynote speaker of the panel discussion “Re-Design the Future of Business”. Sairamprabhu Vedam, CMO of Cigniti Technologies, moderated an engaging fireside chat with film director and screenwriter Nag Ashwin Reddy, both of which were well-received by the audience.
Katalon - Cigniti Learn & Lunch
On March 3rd, Cigniti hosted a team from Katalon, one of our strategic partners in the test automation space, at our Hyderabad office for a “Learn & Lunch” session.
The session was kicked off by Cigniti’s CDO, Raghu Krovvidy, who shared insights on Cigniti’s role as a service provider, the evolution of test automation, and the importance of cost-effective, scalable, and fast solutions to disrupt the product life cycle and marketplace vendors. He emphasised the importance of automating automation and self-healing and highlighted the value of AI and ML for clients.
The highly interactive session was attended by 38 Cignitians, including some of Cigniti’s senior leaders from various functions, along with Deepika Mohanty, Alliances Manager, Katalon, and Rupesh Sawant, Solutions Engineer, Katalon. This session was initiated by the Partner Marketing team.

Making a Difference & Fostering Growth with Project Cignificance
We are proud to share that Cigniti’s Project Cignificance provides 100 young women from rural backgrounds with upskilling and skill development programs to bridge the digital divide and facilitate integration into the mainstream industry.
Krishnan Venkatachary, CFO, Cigniti, along with John Hernandez, Director, DevOps, iRobot, inaugurated an upskilling center to support 100 young women from underprivileged backgrounds at the Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Society (TTWREIS). Cigniti leadership team: Urmila Markili, Symu Kaul, Venkatesh Kovvuri, Sajid Khan, Midhun Pingili, and leaders from iRobot have graced the occasion.
The project aims to bridge the digital divide and provide these young women with various options for complete integration into the mainstream industry and market through specialized technical training programs leading to gainful employment. This is the first skill center under the program “Project Udaan: A Skill Development and Employability Initiative” to support tribal girls from rural areas in partnership with HYSEA and Nirmaan as our Knowledge and Impact Partners.
Essential Healthcare for Women
As part of its CSR initiative, Project Cignificance, Cigniti extended its support to the Government MNJ Institute of Oncology, Regional Cancer in Hyderabad, India. Cigniti provided crucial healthcare and essential medical equipment for a gynecology unit supporting women cancer patients from marginalized communities.
Cigniti’s CDO, Raghu Krovvidy, inaugurated this facility in the presence of Sairam Vedam, CMO, and Midhun Pingili, Sr. Director – Marketing. Mayur Patnala, Founder & CEO of Nirmaan Organization, and Dr. Jayalatha, Director of MNJ Institute of Oncology and Regional Cancer Hospital graced the occasion.
The project collaborates with Nirmaan to reduce the stress on the existing public healthcare system and create a better and healthier world for all. The facility will serve approximately 1,000 marginalized patients annually.

Makar Sankranthi celebration in office
Festivals and celebrations are a time to come together and showcase our ethnicity and diversity as one Cigniti family. The “Sankranthi Sambaralu” at office with its colourful festivity, was a feast to the eyes. Employees participated in group and individual activities, showcasing their skills and art with lovely colours throughout the premises. We concluded the celebration with one-minute games, messages from leaders, and the distribution of prizes. It was delightful to watch employees extend their presence to be a part of celebrations with great enthusiasm, unity, and excitement.
Adding to the celebrations, Cignitians competed in the kite making competition organized by Capitaland and won the kite painting event. Kudos to the winners!
Cigniti Indoor League
Cigniti Indoor league is an assortment of indoor games that was conducted in office to revive the spirit of ‘Fun@Work’.With more than 180 people participating, the events were thoroughly enjoyed by the players and the audience alike.This event has reaffirmed that after the long remote work arrangement, being back in office is fun too.
Mental Health Awareness Session
At Cigniti, our employees’ health and wellness has remained a top priority, particularly after the pandemic. To promote physical fitness and overall well-being, we regularly arrange health talks on a range of topics and provide guidance on best practices for maintaining good health for oneself and their loved ones. Recently, we organized a mental health session with Dr. Nishant from Sunshine Hospital, who discussed the potential dangers of stress and the benefits of maintaining a stress-free work life. Over 300 individuals participated, and we shared the recorded link with the entire organization afterward.
Corporate Wellness Program – Boost Productivity and Wellness
At Cigniti,we are concerned about our employees’ health and well-being. Yoga sessions are being planned every Tuesday and Thursday allowing both offshore and onshore teams to participate. The enthusiastic response, both in terms of participation and audience, made the session fun and exciting.
